Commissions

Bring a meaningful person or moment to life as an original, one-of-a-kind mixed media portrait. Each commission is created from a photograph we agree on together, then built by hand from layers of paper, paint, texture, and hidden detail, just like the work in my gallery.

How It Works

  1. First meeting. We meet to discuss the details of the piece and choose the photograph together. Then I begin building the painting layer by layer using specialized mixed media materials.

  2. Approval meeting. Once the face is completed, we meet again so you can approve the artwork in progress.

  3. Revision follow-up (if needed). If a revision is requested, we schedule an additional Zoom meeting to approve the artwork after the revision. A second revision can be made at this time, before the piece is finished and varnished.

  4. Finishing & delivery. Once the artwork is approved, I finish it with protective UV varnish so it is ready to hang. The final payment is due upon delivery, or before delivery if your piece is being shipped.

Pricing

  • 14" x 18": $1,350

  • 16" x 20": $1,500

Payment

Payment is made in three equal installments:

  1. First third: due at our first meeting. This non-refundable deposit reserves your place on the studio calendar and covers the specialized materials for your piece.

  2. Second third: due at our second meeting. Paid at the approval meeting, once the face is completed.

  3. Final third: due upon delivery. If your piece is being shipped, the final third is due before delivery.

Revision Policy

  • Up to two revisions are included after the approval meeting, reviewed together over Zoom.

  • All revisions are made before the artwork is finished and varnished. No revisions can be made after the artwork has been varnished.

Copyright & Ownership

The artist retains all copyrights to the artwork. You own the original physical piece for personal display; reproduction or commercial use is not permitted.
